Holland Roden was born on October 7, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. After high school, she attended University of California, Los Angeles where she majored in molecular biology and women’s studies. After spending three and a half years as a pre-med student, she decided to become an actress full-time. In 2007, she made her television debut in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The following year, she landed a recurring part in the HBO series 12 Miles of Bad Road. After appearing in a number of other television shows as a guest star, such as in Lost, Weeds, Community, and The Event, she landed a regular role as Lydia Martin in the MTV series Teen Wolf, which she still plays up to now. She has also starred in the direct-to-video movie Bring It On: Fight to the Finish in 2009. In 2013, she made her theatrical debut in the movie House of Dust.
